Master of Computer Application

Master of Computer Application was started in the 1996 – 1997 with an AICTE Sanction Intake of 60. Duration: 3 Academics Years.

The Computer Application department aims at providing quality education to the students by way of providing an all-embracing content in the syllabus for the students to have a pervasive knowledge in the field of computer application. The faculty group for computer application basically includes full time professionals who have devoted to this field for almost ten years with a whole lot of experiences to tackle the problems faced by the students during the course of study.

Timely assignments and modular exams allow the students to develop a better command over the field and enhance their knowledge in a short span. The department of MCA also takes necessary steps for Research and Development as they form the axis of such issues.

Programme Outcomes

  • To Understand and Apply mathematical foundation, computing and domain knowledge for the conceptualization of computing model of problems.
  • Identify, analyze the computing requirements of a problem and Solve them using computing principles
  • Design and Evaluate a computer based system, components and process to meet the specific needs of applications.
  • Use current techniques and tools necessary for complex computing practices
  • Use suitable architecture or platform on design and implementation with respect to performance
  • Develop and integrate effectively system based components into user environment

Program Educational Objectives (PEOs)

  • PEO 1 : Recognize the need for and develop the ability to engage in continuous learning as a Computing professional.
  • PEO 2 : Apply the understanding of management principles with computing knowledge to manage the projects in multidisciplinary environments
  • PEO 3 : Communicate effectively with the computing community as well as society by being able to comprehend effective documentations and presentations.
  • PEO 4 : To excel in problem solving and programming skills in the various computing fields of IT industries
  • PEO 5 : To develop the ability to plan, analyze, design, code, test, implement & maintain a software product for real time system.
  • PEO 6 : To promote students capability to set up their own enterprise in various sectors of Computer applications

HOD Message

The department of computer application is providing quality education to the under graduate students from all the disciplines. It caters especially to the student's from rural and urban sections of the society which makes them computer literate so as to compete with the current trends in the software industry.

Our alumni are working in the world renowned companies. The departments has excellent infrastructure with all latest computing facilities. The faculty members are highly qualified and updated with current technology. We are happy to be in the team and strive for future enhancements.

Facilities

All the class rooms are equipped with modern teaching aids include a LCD projector. The department has an air-conditioned seminar hall with all facilities. The computer center is well equipped with hi end servers and desktop with latest version of software that provides state of art computing facilities.

Activities

Our Department equipped with latest infrastructure and imparting technical education and serving the students. This research laboratory is equipped with most sophisticated imported equipment enabling to carry out the research in the frontier area.
