B.Tech (Information Technology)

The Department of Information Technology was established in the year 1995 The Department equipped with global presence and advanced technology. The department offers a 4-years of B.Tech program in Information Technology with the inclusion of well- designed curriculum and Industry offered courses that develop the IT Professionals. The department is endowed with highly efficient faculties and state of the art laboratories. The faculties and students are actively participate in the consultancy work with the collaboration of various organization.

The vision of the Department is "To provide a wholesome educational environment, a platform for the students to reinvent themselves and launch into the technological and scientific arena together with human values"

Mission

To provide both students and faculty with an open environment that fosters professional and personal growth. Also prepare our students for successful careers in the computing professions through flexible programs of study that can be adapted to support individual career goals

Programme Educational Objectives (PEOs)

  • PEO 1: To produce efficient IT graduates, who have a strong back ground in basic science, mathematics and core area IT with emphasis on problem solving
  • PEO 2: To prepare the students with strong engineering knowledge and technical competence to use techniques, skills and modern IT tools that allow them to work effectively as Information Technology professional.
  • PEO 3: To inculcate the student's professional and ethical attitude, effective communication skills, teamwork skills, multi-disciplinary approach and an ability to relate engineering issues to broader social context.
  • PEO 4: To be a good citizen and cultured human being, as well as appreciate the importance of professional, ethical with social responsibilities.

Facilities

Environment and sustainability: Understand the impact of the professional engineering solutions in societal and environmental contexts, and demonstrate the knowledge of, and need for sustainable development.

A separate computer laboratory that contains 30 all IBM computers and IBM server is the backbone for the practical purpose and also provides internet facility for all the students. Various laboratories for the students are,

Activities

Our Department equipped with latest infrastructure and imparting technical education and serving the students. This research laboratory is equipped with most sophisticated imported equipment enabling to carry out the research in the frontier area.
