This department ,the backbone of the entire engineering education process, is efficiently supporting the engineering departments by providing high quality of training in basic sciences and humanities by an experienced and qualified professor .Its imparts in-depth knowledge on a wide range of subjects namely Chemistry, English, Mathematics, Physics.

The department staff assist in conducting centralized internal Assessment test B.E/B.TECH 1st year, They counsel and guide the students of first year in overall personality development and meet the challenging task and updated skills under changing scenario of technical fields

Department Of Chemistry

Sample preparation and analysis. Traditional wet chemistry techniques are used to modify paving and concrete materials and to prepare and condition samples for further testing and analysis. The chemical results are often tied to physical test results from the binder, bituminous mixtures, or concrete laboratories to compile a chemico-physico perspective and evaluate its effect on performance. The chemistry laboratory complex includes a traditional chemistry laboratory for wet chemistry and sample preparation , and two laboratories dedicated to instrumentation.

Department Of English

This mission of the department is to create and implement adaptive curricula by conducting training programmes for the students to improve communication skills and to help them .Communication effectively using the English language, apart from teaching technical English I and II for the first year, and communications sills laboratory for the third year B.E./B.TECH students are the curriculum of Anna University Chennai, the department plays a vital role in the development of the students who belongs to varied social and economic backgrounds

Department Of Mathematics

The Department of Mathematics has highly qualified, experienced and committed teachers with reputation in their areas of specialization. Mathematics is taught in the first four semester of engineering curriculum, which will be strong foundations for the engineers. Thus mathematics has been remarked always as an essential subject in its own way. In order to create interest in the student's community it is essential to teach engineering mathematics with applications. This helps us to conduct special invited lecturers and seminars eminent personalities from different reputed companies /institutions, so that in future the students of engineering stream will be benefited by and large.

The management continuously encourages the department to carry out research by providing complete financial support and other facilities. The department strives for excellence in research activities to get an insight into Fluid Dynamics, Graph Theory and its Applications, Fuzzy Logic, Operation Research and industrial statistics
